The musical sensation is back!
The third film of High School Musical will have its premiere in Sweden
Wednesday October 22nd.
You will meet the successful team Troy, Gabriella, Ryan and Sharpay.
The same day as the premiere will take place, the soundtrack will be
released, including one exclusive bonus track, “Just här, just nu”,
with Molly Sandén and Brandur. This is the Swedish version of one of
the movies strongest songs. Molly Sandén won the Swedish Junior
Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 have had big successes on the Diggiloo
tours around Sweden. Last year Molly did the Swedish version of High
School Musical 2’s song “Du är musiken I mig” with the Swedish artist
Ola.
In 2009 he will release his first
album in Sweden. On this upcoming album he has worked with songwriters
that is behind hits from artists such as Westlife, *NSync, Ola and
Darin.
The single “Just här, just nu” will be released for the digital market
October 20th and will be sent to radio stations shortly. The video
with Molly and Brandur will have its premiere on Disney Channel
October 17th.
This soundtrack includes more music tha any of the other movies and
all songs are written by the success writers behind High School
Musical 1 and 2. The songs are performed by the original actors in the
movie – Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel,
Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman. Two weeks after the soundtrack
released there will be released a special edition including a DVD,
containing some scenes from the movie and music videos. |

Music Against Drugs
2008-09-07
Sunday, September 7th at 3:30 pm. Brandur will perform at the big
musical event Music Against Drugs. It will take place
in Kungsträdgården (Kings Garden) in Stockholm. Brandur will be
singing some of his new songs. He'll be playing together with the
great Anders Neglins Orchestra, as well as singing a duet with Sanna
Nielsen.

Brandur and Ben Malén after signing in the
Chrysalis office in Stockholm.
In December 2007, Brandur
signed a publishing deal with Air Chrysalis of Scandinavia.

Brandur with Sasha Dupont and Adam Powers
in Copenhagen.
On the 17th and 18th of
december. Brandur was writing in Copenhagen with Adam Powers and Sasha
Dupont. Adam has written the song "like a Drug" on the new Kylie
Minogue album. And Sasha Dupont is famous from the Danish tv show "Hit
Med Sangen". Her latest album "promises" was released in 2007.

Brandur got home to the
Faroe Islands on Dec. 19th and right before Christmas a hurricane hit
the Islands, so it made the holiday on the southest island where his
family lives, a little more dramatic.
Between Christmas and new year, Brandur's acoustic trio, that includes
his brother Tróndur and violinist Heidrun Petersen, had a few intimate
concerts.
Since January the 6th Brandur's been back in Stockholm where he's been
writing with IVA, who is an operatic pop artist. As well as he is
working with Henrik Wikström and Kristian lagerström. From now on,
Brandur is mostly focusing on the upcoming Eurovision show in
Gothenburg on February 9th.
